"Our athletes are staying in shape while out on injury and returning to play in better condition than before. Our athletes don't know the word can't anymore."

Steve Crandall training WNBA star Natalie Williams on his Newton Speed Trainer
"My clients love the Newton. It plays a pivotal role to teach athletes how gravity influences their pain and limitations.  It gives immediate hope to athletes to help realize that strengthening and exercise can play a role to get their desired functions back.  The Newton is also a key to help me identify the pathology from a physical therapy point of view.  I can determine if the pain comes from a joint surface, instability or weakness when combined with the physical examination.  It confirms my hypothesis during the examination.  It is a critical piece of equipment in my orthopedic practice. From a pure treatment point of view it allows a higher level of intervention especially with articular damage and tendon injuries to the lower extremity. Athletes who have experienced other types of unloading devices strongly state that the Newton is more comfortable, smooth, and allows them to perform functions with greater specificity.  Many have thanked me for making the change to the Newton and giving them a better option.  The Newton sets the standard for comfort, ease of use and effectiveness.  I have athletes that wait to use it because we only have one. It allows them to feel what they used to feel...movement without pain.  It is like a time machine to bring them to where they will be when their injury is healed."

"
The Newton has meant a lot to our practice in two ways. First, it allows for a quicker return to functional weight bearing activities and walking without deviation for athletes with various lower extremity pathologies. Second, it allows for immediate symptom relief for athletes with lumbar pathologies. It gives them a glimpse of hope that there is something that can be done for there conditions. I am proud to have one, know how to use it correctly and also the fact that I studied under the man that invented it."
Tony LaSorsa, PT

"
My practice now has options for optimally treating spinal and lower extremity pathologies.  On a more personal level, the Newton helps give me a sense of pride in the work I do. The Newton helps my clients by providing an optimal stimulus and making their work challenging and fun. I believe the Newton helps my clients feels a sense of pride that I feel related to being in an 'expert environment'."

"
The Newton has meant quicker recovery from injury because I can adjust the amount of weight needed to assure a pain-free exercise with specificity of training. The clients biomechanics automatically change when they are painfree. This is a great explanation that abnormal biomechanics did not "cause" the problem, but can be a contributing factor to the injury. I can take care of tissue training along with biomechanics at one time. As a practice, we are more efficient, functional and have faster recovery for our athletes than before. We are having our athletes do things they thought weren't possible. Our athletes don't know the word 'can't' anymore. It's awesome to see their eyes when they can walk pain-free or our athletes can run after a sprain of their ankle or knee. Not only does the exercise help them physically with tissue healing and recovery, but it alters their whole perception of themselves, the injury and their pain. Our athletes are staying in shape while out on injury and returning to play in better condition than before. The Newton is a machine that allows your athletes to exercise painfree, return to functional activities and progress with accelerated healing of the injured tissue. It allows the therapist to apply appropriate forces to the specific tissue along with correct biomechanics. Your clients can run, walk, squat, move from sit to stand, hop, skip, side-step, all within their force capactiy so that the tissue can adapt!  Your imagination is the Newton's limit!"
