Dr. Zachary Goodwin, a southeast Louisiana native, is a neurologist with extensive training treating a broad range of neurological diseases with a particular focus on inpatient care.  His congenial bedside manner and  caring approach are often cited by both patients and the caregivers dealing with particularly debilitating disorders.  

After earning his undergraduate degree in Biology from Louisiana State University, Dr. Goodwin went abroad to pursue his graduate degree from American University of the Caribbean receiving his Doctorate of Medicine in 2016.  Upon graduation, he interned with the University of Mississippi in Jackson.  He completed his residency in 2021 but elected to defer private practice for an additional year to complete a Fellowship in Neurophysiology. Dr. Goodwin is Board Eligible as a neurologist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Goodwin’s professional interests are varied. Clinical pursuits include treatment of strokes, seizures, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, neuropathy, headaches, epilepsy and other central nervous system disorders.  Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology and the American Medical Association, and he is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Mississippi.
