Gregg Jones, Physical Therapist
Gregg Jones is a Physical Therapist with a post-graduate residency in Manual Physical Therapy who joined Paradigm Health System to focus on serving his home community, Slidell, after gaining decades of experience in regionally renowned physical therapy programs.
Having worked throughout his career in hospitals and clinics from metropolitan St. Louis to quaint Delcambre, La., Jones comes to us from Highland Community Hospital in Picayune where he served as the Director of Rehabilitation Services. He was an athletic trainer for decades and has continuously specialized in movement and strengthening. He completed a post-graduate residency in Manual Physical Therapy in 2000 to expand his knowledge of patient's joint problems. His number one goal is always to get his patients back on their feet and back to their lives.
In his position as director of Paradigm's Physical Therapy Clinic, Jones expands Paradigm's collaborative approach to care by working directly with all our specialists to ensure efficient, optimal diagnosis, streamlined to same- or next-day treatment and therapy care all on one campus.
Jones formulates post-operative treatment plans and facilitate patients' therapies as a surgical alternative. In patients needing surgery at Sterling Hospital, he enhances patient education and helps offer a higher level of safety in post-surgical coordinated care. His treatment capabilities range the full spectrum of physical therapy modalities—from complex trauma injury-recovery to post-surgical conditions; fractures; arthritis; cervical whiplash; strokes; joint, muscle and ligament injuries; industrial injuries and screenings, and more.
Jones' experience has given him the opportunity to work with players from the NBA, NFL, MLB and PGA. He served as Therapy Coordinator for the New Orleans Brass minor league hockey team while also teaching as a Clinical Instructor in the Physical Therapy Department at the LSU Health Science Center. He has also served players on the LSU football and baseball teams.
Jones served his professional community as the National Delegate for the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association from 2006 to 2008 and in 2004 was named LSU PT Alumni of the Year.
Jones, his wife, Nancy, and his daughter, Christina, are active in the Slidell community, especially in their church where Jones has served as an elder and a youth director. He is pleased to be working in the city he calls home.
