Paradigm Health System Announces the Opening of their Latest Northshore Addition

Continuing its commitment to bring the very best care to patients in the Northshore community, Paradigm Health System has opened their state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot facility adjacent to Sterling Surgical Hospital on their Slidell campus.

Occupation of the new clinical space was launched with the opening of the Paradigm Physical Therapy Clinic in mid-January and the hiring of director Gregg Jones, a physical therapist with a post-graduate residency in Manual Physical Therapy. Jones further enhances Paradigm's collaborative approach to care and service line diagnostics as he is working directly with Paradigm Health System's specialists to formulate post-operative treatment plans and facilitate patients' therapies as a surgical alternative. For patients needing surgery at Sterling Hospital, Jones will round out patient education and offer a higher level of safety in post-surgical coordinated care.

"This multispecialty care center further extends our ability to offer our patients efficient, collaborative diagnostic, treatment and therapy services all on one campus," says Kevin Schneider, President of Paradigm Healthy System. "This new addition, along with the directorship of our new physical therapist, is a strong example of our dedication to growth and a symbol of our success."

With a good number of new physicians and staff joining the Paradigm team recently, the health system was dramatically outgrowing available office space when they decided on the expansion. The two-story construction is in addition to Paradigm's offices in Mandeville, Lacombe, Slidell, New Orleans East and Metairie.

According to Schneider, the health system has made a substantial investment to carry forth their vision of offering facilities with high-end environments and red-carpet, white-glove service. Rather than the industry-standard, concrete-block building, the new clinic is airy and brightly lit from enormous windows allowing in natural light.

"The attention to detail on the building is such that it is designed to give people the feel that they are in a warm, welcoming environment rather than sitting in a straight-backed, plastic chair waiting to see a doctor," Schneider says. "The interior resembles more boutique urban hotel than physician's office. We feel strongly—and patient comment cards distinctly agree—that this concept makes for the optimal, patient-centered experienced."

Beyond comfort, the campus construction offers the utmost in convenience. Patients who require surgery can leave their physician's office and walk across the parking lot to pre-op at Sterling Surgical. For physicians who work in the new building, visits to their post-op patients on their lunch hour and after work is that same short walk away.

"The value of the campus experience is enormous," says Schneider. "Not to mention that this kind of real-time, streamlined collaboration goes a long way toward optimal diagnosis, same-day treatment and better outcomes."

Schneider stresses that the building is only one step of multiple future phases as they enjoy continued growth on the Northshore and in the New Orleans area.
